Many children are afraid of the dark, but for vulnerable children, anxiety is rooted in more than just lively imagination.

This film for Danish Children's Welfare broadens awareness on the fact that Christmas isn't a time of joy for children living in families with problems with alcohol and/or violence. On the contrary the extended time together in the holidays makes the problems much worse.

The idea of the campaign is to tap into the irrational fear that most children have for the dark and then place the story in a horror movie theme, and give it a surprising twist. Because some children actually do have a reason to be afraid of the dark.
